About Us

Walking the Walk and Talking the Talk of the Message of the Statue of Liberty

“Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

What We Do

Our volunteers meet buses at stops along their routes as they travel North. During quick changeovers they distribute nutritious hot meals, extra clothing, and supplies for the rest of the journey to as many folks as possible. This includes pre-prepared kits with essential toiletries, water, snacks, toys and games for adults and children to take with them on the road. These are lovingly packed with donated goods by our volunteers for as many as 30 people per bus.

How You Can Help

There is a huge need for this work in our area of the country, and any supplies or time that can be contributed makes a difference. You can participate by being a rider to meet the buses, or helping to put toiletry and food packs together for the weary travelers. Contact us to receive a schedule for bus rides, or learn more about what items can be donated.
